Mr. Hindmarch explaining the finer points of the Virginia Reel.
Our students have started a Food for Christmas Drive. All food will go to needy families for Christmas.
Thursday night the CSS Concert Band and Jazz Band will be playing, along with Theatre Performances, Music, Art, & Food. This will be happening at Chatelech as part of a fundraiser helping the Elves Club in another venture supporting our community.

Free the Children & Dancing Continued
Guest speakers from the Free the Children organization, Alex and Andy pose with some of our leadership students who attended the afternoon workshop held in the CSS Library. Alex and Andy also did a presentation with all of our grade 9 & 10 students and they spoke a lot about community building and actions that can be taken to enhance our local community as well as the global community. They also did a smaller workshop before lunch, as well. The presentation and workshops were sponsored by Telus. The feedback that I got was very positive.

Stuffed Animals & More Dancing
Ms. Marsh's Textiles students proudly showed off their handywork when I stopped by today. Well done!!
The dance unit continues to be popular. We even have students requesting to go to the gym once they have completed their academic assignments. It is great to see the high level of enthusiasm.
Hats off to our PE staff for doing such a good job with this unit over the years!!
Have a good evening.

New Math Technology Coming
We had a presentation on the nspire cx Handheld calculator last night.
The question arose--How can we even the playing field for the senior Math
program? The answer.... Bluetooth technology for a class set of the Nspire cx calculators . The nice thing about this technology is that it allows for ongoing formative assessment for students and all students will be able to access the technology if we have a class set.
Have a good day.
