Update : Track Team at Provincials
Chatelech students Caleb Burnham, Jordan Wilson, Alex Nightingale, Josh Desrochers and Elliot Wadge were few, but clearly present at the recent BC High School Championships in Langley.
Junior boy Theo Kontekakis threw 13.12m in the 5k Shot Put earning a silver medal.
Chat's first EVER, and zone 5 champions, senior boys 4 x 400 relay team exploded out of the blocks, lost momentum at 300m, but were able to maintain and PB time of 3.45.83.
800m runner Alex Nightingale blew off the first lap with a strong lead, drawing back on the second.
Grade 8 runner Elliot Wadge gave his all in the gruelling 3000m, surrounded by equally determined young men.
Athletes were exposed to high caliber, 'big school' competition and did not flinch.
Running coach Larry Nightingale and conditioning coach Mokie Burnham were thrilled with their performance.
What a fantastic way to finish off the season!!! Congratulations to the entire team.

Theo K wins Silver Medal at Provincials
Chatelech put forth a solid effort at the provincials in Langley this weekend.
Theo Kontekakis won a silver medal in Shot Put and was excited to be part of so many top throwers.
CSS's first ever 4 by 400 Senior boys Relay to make provincials team started out strong, hiccuped at 300m, but maintained and ultimately ran a second faster than at the zones 3.45, not enough for the finals.
800 and 3000 m runners ran with heart and ended up middle of the pack.
Congratulations to Caleb, Jordan, Alex, Josh, Theo and Elliot for representing our school with determination and a positive attitude.
Thanks also to coaches Larry Nightengale and Mokie Barbash-Burnam. We appreciate your dedication to our student-athletes. Bravo!!!
