Nurturing the Learning Spirit

CSS VP, Mark Sauer and four of our students joined other aboriginal students from SD 46 in the annual Nurturing the Learning Spirit Canoe Journey.  This event gives our students an opportunity to share their school experiences with our principals/vice principals via a canoe venture and a feast.

Despite the damp weather the event was excellent.

Thanks to all for participating in this event.

SD 46 Community School Meeting

I have been busy working with our Community School Coordinators and Superintendent, Patrick Bocking today.  There are a lot of unbelievable things being done across the district, which includes the excellent work that Abbie Corman has been doing at Chatelech.

Our Cool School Program continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays  after school and provides a great opportunity for our students to work on various wood or metal projects, along with some auto work.

Our Breakfast and lunch program, are other things supported by our Community School. We are hoping to get our Homework Club back on track for September-- it has not gone that well this year, as we have not had good student turnout.

I have been busy working on our 2016-2017 timetable and our budget for next year. I am hopeful that I will have a bit more time to get back to blogging in he coming weeks.

All the best.
